Zourney Barcelona
Zoo + Journey = Zourney

Zourney Barcelona dreams of an inverted zoo where visitors hike within caged looping trail across the free-range animal habitat; minimally invasive yet maximally engaging leisure park human history has ever seen.

The inverted zoo consists of three major components; native Spanish animal habitats, a massive loop of double-decker hiking trail, and service stations at major viewing points along the trail for observation and public service. While animal habitats and human hiking trail establish safe ground for both sides by minimally invading each other's domain, service stations bridge the two by providing humans the viewing convenience and amenities, and the animals the living support and medical attention.

The double-decker trail runs in two distinct speed; rail bike on top and walking path below. Rail bike operates either manually by pedaling or automatically by using photo voltaic energy generated from its shell. Each units are self sustainable and provides users with comprehensive guided tour via smart device attached to the ride. Users may switch between rail bike and walking at each nearest station. Users may also elect to take shortcuts depending on the mood and plans. The trail is fully encapsulated with porous tubular mesh shell(or watertight glazed tube) to prevent hikers from falling(or drowning) or wild animals(or fish) breaking in.
