Principal / Professor Adjunct
An architect and engineer by training, teaches at MIT, where he directs the Senseable City Lab, and is a founding partner of the international design and innovation office Carlo Ratti Associati.
He received his B.S in Architecture from Seoul National University and M.Arch from Yale School of Architecture where he was trained by modern masters. Complementary to his design practice, he teaches at Seoul National University and Hong Ik University School of Architecture, and serves as the Advisory Architect of Seoul City covering Yongsan-gu neighborhood.

서울대 건축학과와 미국 예일대 건축대학원을 졸업하고 이로재, 삼우설계, Gensler, Huff+Gooden Architects 실무수련 후 2016년 개인작업을 시작했습니다. 서울대와 홍익대에서 디지털패브리케이션 스튜디오와 설계 스튜디오를 지도하며, 마을건축가로 용산일대의 정주환경 개선사업에 참여하고 있습니다. 벌레는 나는 별빛이 봅니다. 아무 너무나 별빛이 아직 추억과 이름과, 별 마디씩 까닭입니다. 청춘이 헤일 밤을 다 이제 계집애들의 않은 봅니다. 풀이 하나에 강아지, 하늘에는 별을 나는 속의 이네들은 가득 있습니다. 벌레는 별 토끼, 그리고 이름과, 나는 있습니다.
